Melissa graduated from Memorial University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology. Upon graduation, she began her work as a Kinesiologist in the St. John’s area providing a wide range of services. Melissa has always been involved with sports, outdoor recreational activities and living a healthy lifestyle. She loves staying active via, basketball, hikes, weight lifting and spin classes. She has made it a life goal to help others reach their maximum abilities and increase their overall quality of life.
At IOHS, Melissa specializes in Clinic Based Occupational Rehabilitation (CBOR), Job-specific training, Pre-Employment fitness testing, Injury Prevention & Postural correction, Program Development, Concussion Management and Strength and Conditioning training. She is interested in providing a safe and fun environment for active rehabilitation by providing client education and one on one client-centered sessions. She strongly believes in the importance of personalized rehab programs concentrated on the client’s specific injuries and goals.
Melissa is an affiliated member through the Canadian Kinesiology Association (CKA) and a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Kinesiology Association (NLKA).
