Highlights
Jeff graduated from Dalhousie University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. Upon graduation, he began his practice of Occupational Therapy on the Burin Peninsula. A rural setting enabled development of skills in all areas of practice, including inpatients, outpatients, community, orthotic fabrication and long-term care. Jeff also initiated an outpatient pediatric service while working in Burin.
Jeff began contractual work with Integrated Occupational Health Services (IOHS) in November 2007. In February 2008, he moved to St. John’s and began pediatric practice at the Janeway Children’s Health & Rehabilitation Centre by delivering outpatient services to children with disabilities aged 18 and under. Since August 2008, he has been practicing Occupational Therapy within Occupational Health & Rehabilitation, Eastern Health while continuing as a contractual consultant with IOHS.
Jeff was the past president of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Occupational Therapists (NLAOT) and a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) and licensed through the Newfoundland and Labrador Occupational Therapy Board (NLOTB).
At IOHS, Jeff regularly completes home demands analyses and will soon be conducting functional capacity evaluations as well as targeted functional assessments.
