Highlights
Carla graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and furthered her studies at Dalhousie University, where she graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy.
Since graduation, she has worked as an Occupational Therapist providing full service occupational and rehabilitation services to a variety of clients. Her experience also includes two years of disability management in the insurance industry. In May 2006, she joined the team of professional at Integrated Occupational Health Services (IOHS).
Carla’s education includes certification as a Key Assessment Specialist from KEY Method International, as well as her attendance at a variety of vocational rehabilitation workshops, disability management seminars, as well as foot biomechanics and orthotic fabrication workshops. Carla is also a trained Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP) provider, a community based program for minimizing pain related disability.
Carla is currently a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT), the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Occupational Therapists (NLAOT), and the Newfoundland and Labrador Occupational Therapy Board (NLOTB).
At IOHS, Carla specializes in functional capacity evaluations, ergonomic consulting, return to work services, job-site analyses, home-demands analyses, medical-legal evaluations, and case-management services.
