IOHS has had an occupational therapy consultant in Grand Falls-Windsor since 2004, serving residents there and in nearby communities. Glenda Dawe has worked in the central Newfoundland area in both hospital-based and private-practice, and at the G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville for a four year period. Since 1991, Glenda has operated her own consulting business providing service for various agencies.

Glenda has experience in acute care, long-term care, ambulatory outpatient services, mental-health services, community-based occupational therapy, and occupational rehabilitation services. She has worked in a number of leadership roles, including her current position as Regional Director of Rehabilitative Services with the Central-West Health Corporation.

Glenda's considerable experience includes training or working in industrial and office ergonomics, the Focus Method of Functional Capacity Evaluation, work hardening/conditioning , orthotic training, and management training through the Canadian Healthcare Association. She is a member of national and provincial associations and boards, and volunteers with the Central Regional Disability Association and The Arthritis Society.

At IOHS, Glenda is primarily responsible for workplace assessment and ergonomic consulting.
