IOHS has had an occupational therapy consultant in Corner Brook since 2001. Today, Tammy Priddle, Sandra Oke and Kathy Pennell all provide service to residents of the city and surrounding areas. They bring considerable experience in providing community-based service in a rural Newfoundland community, and specialize in home-based assessments.
Tammy has worked in inpatient and outpatient mental health and established the first community-based vocational rehab program for mental-health consumers in Western Newfoundland. She has worked for most of her career in occupational rehabilitation and injury prevention for a public health care service. There she worked as a clinical leader, supervising other Occupational Therapists and handling regional occupational rehab and ergonomic program development.
Tammy specializes in functional assessments, early and safe return to work programs, job-site analyses, injury prevention and education programs, train the trainer programs and home based assessments. She has had extensive training in the area of occupational rehabilitation including certification as a work capacity evaluator, and is a certified Progressive Goal Attainment Program clinician. She has ergonomic training from a variety of experts in the field, and serves on the executive of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Occupational Therapists (NLAOT).
Tammy handles IOHS's home and workplace assessment services in the Corner Brook/West Coast area. Through Tammy and the other professionals on our team across the province, IOHS sets the standard in consultation, evaluations, and rehabilitation, and can manage all aspects of your workers’ health and fitness needs.
